This model portfolio, which was posted on our website on August 4th, when the S&P 500 Stock Index was at 1000.24, achieved an appreciation of 17.3% on an equal-weighted basis through the close of business on December 31st. This compares with a gain of 11.5% recorded by the S&P 500 over the same time period.
